Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)

Our Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program, in collaboration with the Institute for Clinical Pastoral Training, offers an interactive distance learning experience for students across the United States and abroad. This unique faith-based program focuses on personal and professional growth in pastoral and spiritual care. Participants engage in dynamic, process-oriented education that encourages open sharing, support, and respect among peers.

CPE provides the opportunity to earn seminary or college credits, fulfill professional continuing education requirements, and meet clinical pastoral education requirements for certification as a professional chaplain. The program helps laypersons clarify vocational interests and calling regarding ministry, improve skills in providing spiritual care, and enhance personal and pastoral identity. Graduates are qualified to work as staff chaplains, pool or contract chaplains with local organizations such as hospitals, hospices, and prisons.
