Imam Hamayun Baksh

Imam Hamayun Baksh serves as the Assistant Director of Religious Affairs at ICNA Relief and the Regional Manager for the Northeast at Alfurqaan Foundation Chicago. With a Ph.D. in Islamic Jurisprudence and extensive experience in Islamic history, Imam Baksh brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as the Director of Islamic Affairs at the New York State Chaplain Task Force. His work focuses on providing spiritual and emotional support to Muslim communities and promoting interfaith understanding.

Imam Baksh's dedication to education and community service is evident in his teaching and leadership roles. As a certified instructor with the NYSCTF, he trains chaplains to effectively support individuals from diverse backgrounds.
